Let it snow let it snow...
So Indy finally got hit with some snow, actually the 3rd6th most snow in a day or so (per the news), around a foot in my area of the woods.
The ride home on the day it started proved to be a slow one, so when it got to a crawl I grabbed the chance to take a couple of pictures.
Most people still don't know how to drive on snow though... you know its not the speed that kills you, its the sudden stop. So if everyone stopped tailgating in the snow, we all could actually go a bit faster too... unless you are the first in line and is scared, scared of going over 10 mph...
Anyway it kept snowing through the night, so the day after it was nice to be able to stay home and work from home rather than having to spend hours driving back and forth to work. Especially because it would have meant to clean the drive way of snow first ;)

Very interesting the effect of the movement...

I really enjoyed the first one. It's like seeing and feeling the beating heart of a city. Nicely done !

I have seen traffice trails shots many time before but I have never seen one shot from inside a moving car. This is pretty interesting. The fact that you have shot this from the moving car explains the jagged edges of the trails. I hope I guessed right !

I use a Olympus E-520 and the settings about 10 sec exposure f16 I think...

Know the feeling very well for driving in the snow. Excellent images that really show the effect. Great captures.

Ivar: I didn't know you were a 2 blog guy. Me, too! Having trouble keeping up now, though.
Love this blog. I might even like it better than the other one... Very nice.

Love the capture of motion in the lights!

Love the impressionistic look that these shots have. We have snow on the Andes behind Santiago, but not on the ground. Will remember your driving advice for the future, though.
